REV NICOLE MELARA
INTERIM PASTOR
Pastor Nicole is a native of eastern Pennsylvania and has been serving in ordained ministry for 15 years. She is a graduate of Moravian Theological Seminary in Bethlehem, PA and is pursuing her PhD in Religious Studies at Temple University. After finishing her doctoral coursework, she relocated to Milwaukee to continue her lived education. Nicole is passionate about spiritual growth and understanding, ethics, and the translation of belief into a lived faith.
Pastor Nicole is currently serving North Shore Presbyterian Church as Interim Pastor, a position which helps guide the congregation through a process of visioning, clarifying, wisdom-seeking, and holy imagining in preparation for seeking a new called and installed pastor. It is work that Pastor Nicole finds exciting and fulfilling. “Looking back over my career, it seems that I have always gravitated toward congregations in some kind of discernment and/or transition. It helps my own faith to walk with congregations through these journeys, as times of uncertainty and change remind us all to connect with and rely on the constant yet vibrant Spirit of our living God.”
