Community Programs
Most of what we do happens outside the building
A summer camp built on service, an after-school program about kindness and culture, and a free store that asks nobody why they came.
Compassion Camp
Kindness is a skill, and it gets stronger with practice
A summer day camp for children entering 4K through 5th grade, hosted here and open to kids of all faith backgrounds or none. It runs for two weeks each summer, with optional field trips for older campers.
Compassion Heroes
Daily guest speakers from the community who inspire kids through real acts of service — animals, nature, the arts.
Compassionhood
A hands-on project where the children build and run a miniature community: a food pantry, a bookstore, a compost system.
Who leads it
Pastor Jeannine and UWM education students, with trained youth counselors we call Compassion Ambassadors.
Registration opens ahead of each summer. To hear when, or to ask about this year's camp, contact the office at office@northshorepres.org.
Kindness World Explorers
Wednesdays, after school, until half past four
An after-school program for elementary students about acts of kindness and the way other cultures practice them.
When
Wednesdays when school is in session, from after school until 4:30pm.
Cost
$20 a month, snack included.
What they do
Acts of kindness, plus cultures and spiritual practices through art and video — memory boxes for Día de los Muertos during Latin American History Month, quilt designs and Black History bingo in February.
To sign up or ask about a spot, contact the office at office@northshorepres.org or 414-332-8130.
Good Neighbour Exchange
Bring what you don't need. Take what you do.
Two days of donations, then a free store day. Everything costs nothing and nobody is asked why they came. We hold it each summer at 4048 N. Bartlett Avenue — write to office@northshorepres.org and we'll tell you when the dates are set.
