Compassion Camp FAQ:
What is Compassion Camp?
A fun summer day camp for kids entering 4K–5th grade focused on kindness, community, and hands-on service projects.
Who Runs the Camp?
Led by Pastor Jeannine and UWM education students, with trained youth counselors ("Compassion Ambassadors").
Is It Religious?
Hosted by North Shore Presbyterian Church, but open to kids of all (or no) faith backgrounds — everyone is welcome!
What is a Compassion Hero?
Daily guest speakers from the community who inspire kids through real-life acts of service (animals, nature, arts, and more).
Field Trips (Optional)
Service + fun outings for 2nd grade and up — like park days, beach trips, and community clean-ups. Field trips are Friday, August 21 and Friday, August 28.
What is a Compassionhood?
A creative, hands-on project where kids build and run a mini community (food pantry, bookstore, compost system).
Become a Compassion Ambassador
Middle & high school students can apply to lead groups, build leadership skills, and earn a small stipend.
