Godly Play, Sunday School, Confirmation, Adult Bible Study

Godly Play : 2 y/o – 5 y/o

Our younger children are invited to our Godly Play room on the second floor. Teachers will supervise play and read a few stories.

Sunday School : 1st – 5th grade

Each month children explore Bible stories and grow their faith through art, service projects, and music. The first Sunday of the month, the children sing in worship and then go to our library for story time and to check out books. They go back to worship to participate in communion with the larger Covenant Family. We also have a book club. Each semester children are invited to choose a book on a particular topic and have the option to present a book report during worship in November and April. All children get assigned a “deacon buddy” who supports them throughout the year and joins them periodically for a service project. The children perform a Christmas Pageant the Sunday before Christmas Eve and a Palm Sunday Pageant on Palm Sunday.

Confirmation : 6th – 9th grade

NSPC youth participate in a joint confirmation program with other churches in the Milwaukee Presbytery. Class meets once a month for study and a meal. Each session is hosted by a different church in the presbytery so that participants can meet other pastors and learn about their church’s mission and outreach programs. Youth participate in a few service projects a year. They also complete one worship report during a worship service for each liturgical season. On Sunday mornings, youth are invited to assist in worship leadership, help with children’s education, or serve as an usher. In the second year of the program, youth create a mission immersion project to explore a social justice topic and create service opportunities under the guidance of a mentor. At the end of two years, they are invited to share about their project during worship and then are confirmed into the mission of the church.

Adult Bible Study:

Adults are invited to join Bible Study each week Wednesday morning at 10:30am. In addition to traditional study of Biblical texts, the group also explores topics in church history and theology. During Advent and Lent, participants study devotionals and artwork provided by A Sanctified Art. You can learn more about A Sanctified Art here: https://sanctifiedart.org

During the summer months Bible Study meets every other week
